Install Falcon OS
It takes about 20 minutes. The wizard guides you step by step and verifies each step before moving on.
What you need
- A Google Pixel with the Titan M2 chip, not a carrier-locked model
- The USB‑C cable from the box, no adapters or hubs
- A computer or a second Android phone with Chrome and 8 GB of free space. An iPhone will not work
Important
All data on the phone will be erased. Back up anything you need first.
The licence key can be entered during the first setup of the phone or at any time within 7 days after installation.
Do not unplug the cable during installation and do not close this tab.
Checking the computer and browser
Installation runs in the browser over the cable. Nothing needs to be installed, but the browser must support USB. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Vanadium work.
Enable developer mode
This is done in the settings of the phone's stock system, the phone you are about to flash. The right side shows where to go and what to tap.
- 1Open Settings and scroll all the way down
- 2Tap About phone
- 3Tap Build number seven times in a row. The phone counts the remaining taps
- 4Enter your PIN if asked. The message “You are now a developer!” appears
Allow OEM unlocking
Without this the bootloader will not unlock. Internet is required: the phone checks that it was not sold carrier-locked.
- 1Open Settings → System
- 2Tap Developer options
- 3Turn on OEM unlocking
- 4Enter your screen-lock PIN if asked
- 5Confirm with Enable. “USB debugging” is not needed, leave it off
Put the phone into bootloader mode and connect it
The phone must show a black screen with a red triangle and the words Fastboot Mode. Do not press anything else on the phone during this step.
- 1Turn the phone off
- 2Hold Volume − and, without releasing it, press Power. Keep holding until the screen with the red triangle appears
- 3Plug the cable into the computer and press the button. Pick the Pixel in the browser window; if this phone has been connected to the installer before, there is no window and it connects right away. Do not press anything else on the phone
